COVID-19 Policy
Your safety is our top priority. As in previous years, we will follow guidance from national and local health authorities regarding on-site COVID-19 protocols during our convention.
For your safety, we strongly encourage the following for all attendees and participants:
- – Stay up-to-date with the CDC’s recommendations for COVID-19 vaccinations and applicable boosters
- – Self-test before, during, and after NLGJA24. A limited number of tests will be available at our Registration Desk.
- – Wear masks and/or cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing
- – Frequently wash or sanitize your hands
Do not attend any NLGJA24 events if any of the following apply to you:
- – You have tested positive for COVID-19 and have not completed the CDC’s guidelines for discontinuing isolation.
- – You are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19.
By registering, you agree to abide by all protocols that may be in place during the convention. Registrants who do not comply with those protocols will be asked to leave or be escorted from the events and will not receive refunds. Protocols are subject to change at NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists’ sole discretion.
Currently, our protocols do not call for verification of vaccination status. By registering for the convention, you understand that such gatherings may expose you to higher risks of contracting COVID-19 and other viruses and that you accept that risk and do not hold NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists liable for any adverse health conditions you or others may encounter.
