The Boston Chapter formed in 1992 (formerly known as the New England Chapter) includes members in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont and even some members in Canada.

Our E-board consists of Jeremy C. Fox as president and Bill Tomison as vice president.

Jeremy C. Fox is a staff reporter for the Boston Globe, covering K-12 education. He contributed reporting to the Globe’s coverage of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings, for which the newspaper won the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for breaking news reporting. Fox is a previous staff writer for the Watertown Tab and co-author with Andrew Elder of the 2013 book “Boston’s Orange Line.” His writing has appeared in Bay Windows, the Bay State Banner, the Boston Phoenix, the Gay and Lesbian Review, and other publications.

Bill Tomison is the newscast producer for Eyewitness News at Noon on WPRI-TV in Providence, RI. Since arriving in Rhode Island in 2001, he has produced daily newscasts, breaking news coverage on a wide variety of stories (including snowstorms and college campus lockdown incidents), obituaries of local statesmen, live sports postgame coverage, local lifestyle and talk shows, and written hundreds of stories for the station’s website, WPRI.com. He is a 2001 graduate of Emerson College in Boston, MA, and a native of Beaverton, OR.

Stop by one of our monthly mixers to get connected with journalists in the New England area. Our chapter gets together once a month for a social night usually based around pub trivia. In the past we have hosted panel discussions and other events.
